Fine Art Practice -  Kate Penelope Knowles

The effects of light and time on natural objects facinates Kate and has led her to record by means of drawing and photography an archive of imagery she manipulates and embellishes. The constant layering of imagery, creating new and unique outcomes, produces a recursive element to Kate's work.

As in the natural world of entropy; natural forms change their structural states and become formless until rejuvination occurs and new  'states of being' are created.  This concept is the basis for Kate's creative process with the constant re-use, re-arrangement and manipulation of 2D and 3D elements collected over decades.
